Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the emphasis is supervised exposure, mentoring, and project presentations rather than deep model ownership.
P&C actuarial internship in Amelia, Ohio, supporting specialty insurance lines such as manufactured homes, specialty dwellings, boats, and classic cars. You’ll clean data, support standard actuarial analyses and indications, and complete Excel-based work, with coding available as a helpful addition. The hybrid summer program is designed for rising juniors or seniors who have passed at least one actuarial exam.
Requirements
Must have
- Must have passed at least one actuarial exam
- Must be authorized to work in US without employer sponsorship
Strongly preferred
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Science, Math or related
- Rising Junior or Senior at the time of the internship
- Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for summer program
- Able to work hybrid (40-50% in Amelia, Ohio office)
- Reliable transportation to commute to office as required
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute
- Strong quantitative and analytical foundation
- Interest in learning through hands-on actuarial work
Nice to have
- Coding experience in any language
