Ten-week actuarial internship in Lake Forest, Illinois, supporting Trustmark's Small Business Benefits and Voluntary Benefits departments. You will assist with pricing, experience analysis, forecasting, financial reporting, and Excel-based data work under actuaries. The hybrid program requires three office days and two remote days, and is aimed at students with at least one SOA exam.
Requirements
Must have
- Pass at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program graduating after the internship
Strongly preferred
- Experience with MS Office
- Excellent mathematical aptitude
- Able to work quickly and accurately and solve problems
- Works well individually and as part of a team
- Ability to develop insights into how projects further department goals
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Nice to have
- Prior MS Office experience, specifically Excel
- Prior work experience
- Some programming experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Interest in the insurance industry
