Closer to a broad student development role than a modelling-heavy internship because it offers varied departmental exposure rather than depth in one technical specialty.

P&C actuarial internship in Chicago with First Chicago Insurance Company’s Product & Actuarial Analysis department. You’ll support product development, competitive rate studies, regulatory filings, reserve reviews, and recurring financial reports across personal and commercial auto and general liability.

Requirements

Must have

  • Must be able to work in U.S. without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing an Actuarial Science, Math/Statistics, Economics, Finance, or other related degree with cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week
  • Willing to work part-time during the school year

Nice to have

  • SOA/CAS exams a plus but not required
