Actuarial internship in the Actuarial Department at Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Insurance in Alpharetta, GA. You'll support pricing and reserving through data preparation, report setup, and testing, using Excel and SQL Server. Summer full-time (30–40 hrs/week) with potential part-time continuation during the school year.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support pricing and reserving tasks with data preparation and report setup
- Test and troubleshoot pricing and product implementations
- Work with Excel and SQL Server for data tasks
- Onsite summer internship in Alpharetta, GA (30–40 hrs/week summer)
- Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors majoring in actuarial science or math
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Enrollment status: Sophomore, junior, or senior
- Major in actuarial science, mathematics, or risk management
- Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel
- Basic familiarity with SQL Server
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Local and able to work in Alpharetta, GA during Summer 2026
- Sophomore, junior, or senior college student
- Major in mathematics, actuarial science, risk management, or equivalent
- Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel; basic SQL Server familiarity
- Availability: 30–40 hrs/week in summer; 16–25 hrs/week during school year
