Actuarial internship with Ameritas in Lincoln, Nebraska, supporting individual product, group, and corporate actuarial work. You’ll prepare data, perform analyses and calculations, contribute to reports and projects, and help improve processes using Excel and potentially SQL, Python, R, or VBA. The summer role is hybrid, with possible academic-year continuation based on business needs.
Requirements
Must have
Starting with the second (sophomore) school year, a student must take at least one actuarial exam each academic year
Strongly preferred
Actively pursuing a four-year degree in actuarial science
Completed or enrolled in Interest Theory (or equivalent) OR earned credit for one actuarial exam
Familiarity with Excel and/or programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and VBA
Strong mathematical skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Nice to have
Experience with coding is preferred, but not required
