Role type

Structured student development programme

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy IC role—the summer format, mentorship, and executive exposure outweigh standalone model ownership.

P&C actuarial internship in the Cincinnati area, based in Amelia, Ohio. You’ll support pricing and rating analysis for specialty insurance products, work with real datasets and Excel-based indications, and gain exposure to actuarial analysts and senior leaders in a hybrid summer program.

Requirements

Must have

  • Passed at least one actuarial exam
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future; no OPT/CPT sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Rising junior or senior at the time of the internship
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for the duration of the summer internship
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment, including 40-50% of the time in the Amelia, Ohio office
  • Reliable transportation to commute to the office as required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to meaningful projects

Nice to have

  • Coding experience in any language is helpful but not required
  • Summer between junior and senior year is preferred
