Life actuarial internship in the Annuities Earnings Analysis department, based onsite in Houston or League City, Texas. You’ll support analysis of the individual annuities business and gain exposure to actuarial models and tools including Excel, Python, SQL, and AXIS. The summer program combines real project work with learning, leadership exposure, and professional connections.
Requirements
Must have
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Junior standing or higher by internship start; May 2027 graduates welcome
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Available to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Able to work onsite at the posted role location
Strongly preferred
- Working toward bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline (math, statistics, actuarial science)
- Passing of at least one SOA exam
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Sound problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to take initiative and work independently
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs
