Combined Insurance, a Chubb company, is seeking an Actuarial Intern to join our fast-paced, high energy, growing company for a Summer 2024 internship. Examples of past Intern tasks/projects:

  • Perform fundamental actuarial tasks in support of life insurance product pricing, assumption setting, experience analysis, reserving, modelling, state filings and system implementation
  • Assist with calculating reserve liabilities. Gain experience with modelling and verifying actuarial software output.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and Access to relay results to management, auditors, and regulators. Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed.


Qualifications

Requirements

  • MS Office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Exposure to SQL Server and actuarial software, a plus
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Strong record of academic achievement (minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA to qualify)
  • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (December 2024 or May 2025 graduate, preferred)
  • Completion of 1+ actuarial exam
  • Prior Actuarial Internship, preferred
  • Local to Chicagoland area and work in office 3 days/week


Preferred Majors:

Actuary - preferred majors: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics

Schedule: 10 Weeks; Full-time, M-F 8:30am - 5pm CT
