Client-facing actuarial consulting internship

Closer to client-facing consulting than an internal reserving cycle role because client interaction and recommendations are explicit.

Life actuarial internship in KPMG’s consulting practice, based in New Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with work potentially conducted in the office, at client sites, or virtually. You’ll support reserving and liability reviews, analyze insurance data, develop actuarial models, and communicate risk insights to clients. The role is designed for students pursuing a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Requirements

Must have

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related field
  • No prior experience required; must be an intern
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, agility, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Has passed at least one actuarial exam
  • Currently pursuing actuarial exams
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
