Actuarial intern supporting Product Development at a life-focused insurer in New Orleans, LA. You'll perform various actuarial tasks, help automate spreadsheets, and participate in team Lunch & Learn sessions during a roughly 10-week summer program. This is a full-time (≈40 hrs/week) paid internship with hybrid onsite expectations.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Summer actuarial intern supporting Product Development (life/health focus)
- Perform actuarial tasks and automate spreadsheets
- Full-time (~40 hours/week) for ~10 weeks (late May–August)
- Hybrid: expect 2–3 days per week onsite in New Orleans or Oak Brook
- Paid hourly ($17/hr undergraduate, $20/hr graduate)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial science or math coursework
- Experience automating spreadsheets
- Familiarity with basic actuarial tasks
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Current undergraduate or graduate student
- Working toward a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Available full-time (~40 hours/week) for the summer assignment
- Able to be onsite at least 2–3 days per week in New Orleans or Oak Brook
- Report to the manager in the assigned department
