HIGHLIGHTS

Actuarial Intern (Summer 2026) supporting a P&C Excess & Surplus insurer in Scottsdale, AZ. You will assist with pricing and analytics, retrieve and analyze data, build/update reports, and complete a standalone actuarial project. This on-site internship provides hands-on exposure to actuarial work in commercial property and casualty.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Support pricing and analytics for Excess & Surplus commercial P&C products
  • Retrieve, analyze, and interpret data for pricing and ad hoc analyses
  • Create and update reports to provide actuarial insights to business partners
  • Complete a standalone actuarial project for the department
  • On-site summer internship in Scottsdale, AZ

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Completed one CAS exam
  • Actuarial coursework / pursuing degree
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with SQL, R, VBA, or PowerBI (preferred)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Pursuing a degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics or related field
  • Successfully completed one (1) Casualty Actuarial Society exam
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work in the Scottsdale office (role located onsite)
