Structured actuarial internship

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy IC role—the 80/10/10 design deliberately combines hired-area work with broader learning.

Life actuarial internship in Chicago supporting pricing and product development for new and inforce insurance business. You’ll analyze data and profitability, build spreadsheet tools, modify actuarial models, and communicate results to internal stakeholders. The paid 8–10 week program is designed for bachelor’s students, with possible school-year extension.

Requirements

Must have

  • Pursuing bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field
  • Criminal background check
  • No visa sponsorship available now or in future

Strongly preferred

  • Successful completion of at least 1 SOA exam
  • Basic understanding of insurance
  • High mathematical ability (calculus, linear algebra, probability, statistics, numerical analysis)
  • Strong computer skills including spreadsheets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL or SAS
