Health actuarial internship in Indianapolis, Indiana, running full-time for 12 weeks in summer 2027. Interns will support healthcare cost analysis, trend projection, valuation, risk quantification, and health insurance pricing while gaining exposure to finance, accounting, actuarial, and operational teams. The program includes educational sessions, senior-leader exposure, networking, and a final project presentation.

Requirements

Must have

  • Currently enrolled in a BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related degree
  • Available to work 40 hours per week for the full internship duration (5/17/27-8/6/27)
  • Able to work on-site in Indianapolis or within a reasonable commuting distance

Nice to have

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through academic, extracurricular, professional, or community experiences
  • Interest in the actuarial profession and healthcare industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with one or more analytical/programming tools such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, or VBA
  • Interest or experience using AI-enabled tools for analysis, automation, or productivity
  • Progress toward actuarial credentials
  • Passed at least one actuarial exam
  • Prior relevant internship or professional experience
  • Graduation date of Dec 2027 or May 2028
