Twelve-week Health actuarial internship with Cambia’s Actuarial Division in Fargo, North Dakota, starting May/June 2027. You’ll support technical and analytical work involving financial and risk positions, large datasets, statistical analysis, and database management. The role pays $28 per hour and is intended to be hybrid, with three office days per week when near a Cambia office.

Requirements

Must have

Working towards degree in math, stats, actuarial science, or economics (or similar)
Making progress towards at least one actuarial exam
Minimum 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA
Currently enrolled in a degree program through spring 2027
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must reside in OR, WA, ID, UT, ND or be within commuting distance of a Cambia office

Strongly preferred

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills including spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and database management
Experience working with large datasets
Interest in working at Cambia full-time after graduation

Nice to have

Experience utilizing generative AI tools and resources
