Actuarial internship in Wellmark’s Health insurance Finance Division in Des Moines, Iowa. You’ll support pricing, reserving, forecasting, experience studies, rate filings, and health insurance data analysis using Excel, Access, VBA, and SAS. The role starts in May 2027 and follows a hybrid schedule.
Requirements
Must have
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related program
- No immigration sponsorship available now or in future
Strongly preferred
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Access
- Ability to analyze and organize data in a consistent and logical fashion
- Proven problem solving, innovation, and technical adaptation skills
- Ability to work independently and clearly communicate results of data analytics and modeling
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative
