Closer to a reserving cycle role than a pure modelling role—the recurring quarterly and annual reviews anchor the work, with analytics supporting them.
Senior P&C reserving and claims analytics role in South Sioux City, Nebraska. You will evaluate reserve adequacy, analyze claim development and trends, support quarterly and annual reviews, and provide insights to Claims, Finance, and business leaders. The hybrid schedule is three days in the office and two days remote.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
- Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or equivalent actuarial credential
Strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of property and casualty reserving principles and claim development concepts
- Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
- Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and levels of the organization
- Self-motivated with continuous improvement mindset and passion for data-driven decision-making
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Five or more years of property and casualty actuarial experience with focus on reserving, claims analytics, or loss forecasting
- Strong understanding of case reserve practices and claims development methodologies
- Experience analyzing loss triangles, reserve development patterns, and claims performance metrics
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and actuarial modeling tools
