HIGHLIGHTS

Actuarial Manager (P&C) supporting direct-to-consumer and partnerships in Woodbridge Township, NJ. Lead reserving, rate indication and loss trend analysis using traditional and non-traditional methods, develop new approaches, and manage actuarial team members. Partner closely with Finance and Claims to support reserving and profitability initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead reserving and rate indication analysis for DTC and partnership channels
  • Develop new traditional and non-traditional reserving/pricing methodologies
  • Manage and mentor actuarial team members
  • Collaborate with Finance and Claims on bulk reserve booking and reporting
  • Work on loss trend and claims metric analysis using internal and external data

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Loss reserve analysis and reserving methodologies
  • Rate indication and pricing analysis
  • Claims metric development and loss trend analysis
  • Proficiency with reserving software (ResQ or similar)
  • Advanced SQL querying preferred

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 7 years of actuarial experience
  • Fellow or near-Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS/ACAS)
  • Proficiency with reserving software (ResQ or similar) required
  • Expert Excel skills required; Advanced SQL querying preferred
