Actuarial Manager (P&C) supporting direct-to-consumer and partnerships in Woodbridge Township, NJ. Lead reserving, rate indication and loss trend analysis using traditional and non-traditional methods, develop new approaches, and manage actuarial team members. Partner closely with Finance and Claims to support reserving and profitability initiatives.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead reserving and rate indication analysis for DTC and partnership channels
- Develop new traditional and non-traditional reserving/pricing methodologies
- Manage and mentor actuarial team members
- Collaborate with Finance and Claims on bulk reserve booking and reporting
- Work on loss trend and claims metric analysis using internal and external data
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Loss reserve analysis and reserving methodologies
- Rate indication and pricing analysis
- Claims metric development and loss trend analysis
- Proficiency with reserving software (ResQ or similar)
- Advanced SQL querying preferred
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 7 years of actuarial experience
- Fellow or near-Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS/ACAS)
- Proficiency with reserving software (ResQ or similar) required
- Expert Excel skills required; Advanced SQL querying preferred
