Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Manager-level P&C actuarial role supporting direct-to-consumer and partnerships channels in Woodbridge, NJ. You will own reserving, rate indication and loss/claims analysis, develop new reserving and pricing approaches, and manage and mentor actuarial staff. The role requires deep P&C experience and CAS fellowship or near-fellow status.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Own reserving analysis and bulk reserve booking for direct-to-consumer and partnerships
Develop rate indications and new non-traditional reserving/pricing methods
Analyze loss trends, frequency/severity drivers, and claims metrics
Manage and develop actuarial team members; mentor juniors
Work closely with Finance and Claims on reserve booking and operational reporting

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Loss reserving analysis
Rate indication and pricing analysis
Loss trend and claims metric analysis
Experience with ResQ or similar reserving software
Experience in personal and commercial auto and homeowners insurance

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 7 years of actuarial experience
Fellow or near-Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS or near-FCAS)
Proficiency with ResQ or similar reserving software
Expert Excel skills; advanced SQL querying preferred
Experience owning loss reserve and rate indication analysis
