Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Actuarial Manager (Health) focused on Medicare and provider value-based payment (VBP) consulting. You will be client-facing, lead workstreams, manage and mentor junior actuarial staff, and build financial and risk-adjustment models for ACOs and Medicare Advantage engagements. Role is based in Chicago, Milwaukee, or Hartford (remote candidates considered).

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Client-facing actuarial manager advising on Medicare VBP, ACO strategy, and MA engagements
Lead workstreams and manage/mentor professional and senior professional staff
Build financial models for ACO performance, shared savings, and risk-adjustment
Perform data analysis using Excel, SAS, Python, and SQL
Preferred locations: Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; Hartford, CT; remote considered

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Medicare programs (Medicare Advantage or ACO) experience
Provider value-based payment (VBP) consulting
Risk adjustment and MSSP / total cost of care benchmarking
Financial modeling for ACO performance and shared savings projections
Managing and mentoring actuarial staff on client engagements

KEY REQUIREMENTS

4–7 years of full-time actuarial experience primarily with Medicare programs
ASA designation with the Society of Actuaries required
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring actuarial staff
Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel and core actuarial concepts
