HIGHLIGHTS

Manager-level health actuarial role focused on Medicare Advantage forecasting and analytics for UnitedHealth Group/Optum Insight. You will lead a team in forecasting, utilization and cost-trend analysis, build scalable models, and present insights to cross-functional stakeholders. The position is remote-eligible across the U.S. with onsite expectations for certain Minneapolis/DC hires (Eden Prairie, MN).

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Lead a Medicare forecasting & insights team focused on Medicare Advantage financial planning
Design and run advanced data programs using SAS, SQL, Python, Excel and Power BI
Serve as primary client contact for Medicare forecasting and financial cycle support
Remote-first role (U.S.) with local onsite expectations for Minneapolis/DC hires
Requires actuarial credential (ASA or FSA) and 6+ years in actuarial analytics

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Medicare Advantage forecasting
Actuarial analytics experience
Designing and running complex data programs (SAS, SQL, Power BI)
Cross-functional stakeholder engagement and presentation experience
Team leadership in actuarial analytics

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Actuarial credential required: ASA or FSA
6+ years of experience in an actuarial analytics role
2+ years presenting analytic findings and collaborating with cross-functional partners
Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience using SAS, SQL, Python, Power BI
