Manager-level health actuarial role focused on valuation of risk-bearing contracts for value-based care. You will lead IBNR valuation, financial close activities, and complex payer reconciliations while building executive dashboards and applying AI-enhanced analytics. Based in the United States, reporting cross-functionally into Finance and partnering with ELT and payer actuaries.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Own end-to-end valuation of risk-bearing contracts and IBNR methodologies
- Lead contributions to monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes
- Manage complex payer reconciliations and risk-share settlement interactions
- Build executive dashboards and drive AI/automation for actuarial reporting
- Work in Health (value-based care, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid) at manager level
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Value-based care, Medicare Advantage, or Medicaid experience
- IBNR and actuarial valuation of risk-bearing contracts
- Payer reconciliations and risk-share settlement experience
- Executive reporting and dashboarding for senior leadership
- Integrating AI or machine learning into financial workflows
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of actuarial science, healthcare economics, or healthcare valuation experience
- Experience within value-based care, Medicare Advantage, or Medicaid environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Experience with BI/dashboard tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
