You’ll lead reserve analyses, apply stochastic and triangular reserving methods, and partner with pricing, underwriting and claims. Senior-level, remote within the lower 48 U.S. states, at Nationwide in a Finance/Actuarial function.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead reserve analyses for General Liability and Umbrella lines
- Apply stochastic reserving, frequency-severity and triangular methods
- Translate technical findings for leadership and business partners
- Work remotely (staffed across the lower 48 U.S. states)
- Ideal for ACAS credential holders with ~6+ years P&C reserving experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- General Liability and Umbrella reserving
- Triangular reserving methods (e.g., chain-ladder, Bornhuetter-Ferguson)
- Stochastic reserving and reserve variability analysis
- Frequency-severity modelling and tail/trend analysis
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ACAS credential required (progress toward FCAS expected)
- Generally 6+ years of actuarial experience
- Strong P&C reserving experience for General Liability and Umbrella
- Proficiency with actuarial/data tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, SAS
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
