Reserving and reporting cycle role

Closer to a reserving/reporting cycle role than a capital strategy role—the ad emphasizes IBNR, budgeting, and filings rather than ERM or ORSA.

Manager-level Health actuarial role in Philadelphia, supporting Medicaid and CHIP, with additional ACA and Medicare work as needed. You’ll own IBNR estimation, forecasting, trend analysis, regulatory filings, and decision-support models while reporting to the Director of Actuarial Services. The role is onsite and requires an ASA plus at least three years of relevant experience.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other analytical field
  • 3 years of actuarial experience in Medicaid and health care data reporting and analysis
  • ASA designation

Strongly preferred

  • Ability to independently perform reasonability checks on completed work
  • Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel, VBA, and database (Access and others) skills
  • Self-motivated and able to juggle multiple priorities

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with SQL
