The Role at a Glance
This role is a traditionally actuarial and technical role for a student in Lincoln's Actuarial Development Program (ADP) involving MG-ALFA and Excel/VBA. The ADP student will be involved a broad variety of governance and review exercises across the suite of Life and MoneyGuard New Business pricing teams at Lincoln, including various products within IUL, VUL, Term, Executive Benefits, and Hybrid LTC lines of business. The broader team is responsible for Product and Model governance, and this role will be responsible for following up on Product Governance exercises to ensure that Model Governance procedures are followed with sufficient accuracy and rigor. The capability to summarize meaningful findings and communicate results within the context of Product Governance imperatives is a key part of successful contributions to the department goals. The student will gain a valuable overarching perspective about essential modeling decisions and procedures across the Life Product Portfolio at LFG.
As part of the rotational ADP Program, competitive exam support will be provided to the candidate, including study hours, paid exam fees, and raises for successful attempts. Associates near a key-city location will have flexibility to work from a Lincoln office as desired.

- Model Governance - Review new products or features, think through possible modeling approaches, implement the products or features into the model, reconcile the work with previous quantifications, and verify the results. Advance modeling infrastructure by designing and implementing modeling solutions for complex actuarial issues and strategic initiatives.
- Actuarial/ Technical Support - Maintain existing actuarial models and tools. Assist others with model questions or troubleshooting (includes both mechanical and conceptual questions). Represent Life Finance in cross-functional risk management initiatives.
- Process Improvements - Working through models and programs to restructure calculation engines to be in line with best practices.
- Pricing Documentation - Carefully prepare written history of the conceptual decision-making process behind modeling approaches taken.

- 2+ years of actuarial experience, 3+ actuarial exams passed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Independent, motivated, and collaborative
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Life (or Annuity) products and actuarial modeling strongly preferred
- Experience with Excel VBA and MG-ALFA is ideal. Experience with GGY AXIS, Tableau, and other Actuarial Modeling software or Database Management systems is highly relevant.

The pay range for this position is $59,101 - $110,900 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
