Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to underwriting partnership than a modelling-heavy IC role because pricing recommendations are presented directly to business leaders and used in live decisions.

Senior P&C actuarial pricing role with AXA XL’s North America Middle Market Casualty team in New York. You’ll lead pricing and portfolio profitability analysis, develop and govern pricing models, and partner with underwriting and actuarial leaders to support profitable growth.

Requirements

Must have

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Extensive actuarial, insurance, data analytics, or related analytical experience
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related quantitative field
  • Near ACAS designation or recently attained ACAS credential
  • Experience using Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively
  • Collaborative team player with proven organizational and time management abilities
  • Intellectual curiosity, demonstrated initiative, and commitment to continuous learning
  • Attention to detail and focus on producing high-quality work with integrity
  • Ability to work without supervision, manage projects, and influence decisions through analytical insights
  • Experience collaborating with underwriting, product, or business stakeholders
