JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Price and value pet insurance products for Nationwide’s Pet business unit
- Build and maintain actuarial pricing and valuation models
- Use R, Python, SQL and VBA for data analysis and modeling
- Remote role; may be filled anywhere in the lower 48 U.S. states
- Ideal for candidates progressing toward ACAS with 1–3 years’ experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Pet insurance pricing
- P&C actuarial experience
- Actuarial modelling and valuation
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, statistics or similar
- Exam progress toward ACAS (Actuarial Student status expected)
- 1–3 years of actuarial experience, ideally in P&C insurance
- Proficiency with R, Python, SQL and Microsoft Office/VBA
- Eligible to work in the US without employer-sponsored authorization
