Senior life actuarial role on Nationwide's Annuity Modeling Team focused on VA and RILA model development. You will build and maintain Moody's AXIS models to support valuation, pricing, forecasting, asset adequacy and risk management. Senior individual contributor role that can be staffed remotely or from Nationwide offices in the lower 48 US states.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop and maintain Moody's AXIS models for VA and RILA products
- Support valuation, pricing, forecasting, asset adequacy and risk management
- Lead production runs, controls, automation, and cross-functional reviews
- Senior role (5+ years) working remotely or from Nationwide offices (lower 48)
- Work with Pricing, Valuation, Data & Technology, and external Moody’s vendor
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Moody's AXIS modeling
- Variable Annuity (VA) and RILA product valuation
- Valuation under statutory, GAAP, and tax frameworks
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Strong Moody's AXIS modeling experience
- Strong VA and RILA product and valuation knowledge
- At least 5 years of relevant actuarial experience
- FSA or near‑FSA (actively pursuing the FSA); generally attained ASA
- Proficient with Excel/Access/VBA and other programming/analytical tools
