Actuarial systems transformation builder

Closer to a transformation build than a modelling-heavy role because the deciding emphasis is cloud and CI/CD system work rather than actuarial model ownership.

Life actuarial systems internship in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, focused on ALM-related financial systems and software engineering. You’ll help transition components to cloud architectures, improve CI/CD pipelines, and implement features in financial projection software during a full-time onsite summer 2027 program.

Requirements

Must have

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Employer immigration sponsorship is not available for this role

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
  • Previous work or classroom experience with C#, C++, Python, Git and GitLab
  • Passionate about software craftsmanship and eager to understand the insurance business

Nice to have

  • Experience with AWS and Terraform
  • Previous software engineering internship or relevant project experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability
  • High degree of self-motivation, passion, and a strive to learn
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
