Mid-level actuarial technician supporting life insurance and annuity product calculations and financial analysis in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will build projection models, manipulate and reconcile datasets, perform UAT of administration/illustration systems, and support implementation of product features. Hybrid role requiring three days in office per week.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support product calculations, pricing verification, and model builds for life and annuity products
- Build projection models and reconcile financial reporting data
- Perform user acceptance testing of admin and illustration systems
- Hybrid role — 3 days per week in Cedar Rapids, IA
- Requires strong Excel, statistical aptitude, and 3+ years' relevant experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- product calculations and illustration system testing
- actuarial data manipulation and projection model building
- financial reporting data reconciliation
- user acceptance testing and test case management (e.g., JIRA)
- understanding of relevant industry regulations
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
- Strong PC skills including advanced Excel and complex macros
- Ability to analyze actuarial processes and perform model verification
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
