Senior life actuarial role supporting Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) production and reporting for life and annuity products. You will manage BCAR/rating agency model production, support economic capital and embedded value frameworks, and implement Bermuda regulatory changes. Role is based in Charlotte, NC with telecommuting available within the US and requires travel.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead EBS production and reporting for life and annuity business
- Manage rating agency models (e.g., BCAR) and capital position analysis
- Work on Embedded Value and Economic Capital frameworks
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required
- Telecommuting available within the US; monthly domestic travel
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- US GAAP and Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS)
- Embedded Value and Economic Capital frameworks
- Asset‑intensive life and annuity products (FIA, M‑GA, RILA, funding agreements, UL, IUL, whole life)
- Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (BSCR) model experience
- Actuarial modeling software experience (e.g., Prophet, MG‑ALFA)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required
- 4+ years experience with US GAAP and Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS)
- 4+ years with asset‑intensive life/annuity products (FIA, M-GA, RILA, UL, IUL, WL)
- 4+ years using R or Python
- 2+ years experience with BSCR model and actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, MG-ALFA)
