You will perform experience studies, support automation of monthly/quarterly reporting, and build business analytics for liabilities and investments. Role is based in Charlotte, NC with telecommuting available within the United States and quarterly domestic travel required.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead US GAAP earnings attribution and roll-forwards for life and annuities
- Perform experience studies and assumption setting with governance documentation
- Automate and streamline monthly/quarterly actuarial reporting processes
- Use R, Python and SQL for analytics and production workflows
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required; remote within the US with quarterly travel
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Financial reporting under US GAAP
- Programming with R, Python and SQL
- Payout annuities and fixed deferred annuities
- Actuarial experience studies and assumption governance
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years actuarial experience in life insurance and annuities
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required
- 4+ years financial reporting experience under US GAAP
- 4+ years programming experience in R, Python and SQL
- 1+ year experience with payout annuities and fixed deferred annuities
