HIGHLIGHTS

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Develop Medicaid and CHIP cost estimation methodologies and projection models
  • Analyze and communicate actuarial results for the Agency's annual Actuarial Report
  • Provide actuarial guidance on waivers, payment models, and managed care programs
  • GS-13 federal role in CMS Office of the Actuary (Medicare & Medicaid Cost Estimates Group)
  • Position requires U.S. citizen status and specific educational transcripts

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Providing actuarial guidance in review of cost estimates or managed care programs
  • Developing project plans or coordinating project tasks and deliverables
  • Analyzing, interpreting, and communicating actuarial data and information

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • U.S. Citizen or National required
  • Associateship in SOA or CAS or Enrolled Actuary required
  • Bachelor's degree with required actuarial/math coursework and transcripts
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12
