JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop Medicaid and CHIP cost estimation methodologies and projection models
- Analyze and communicate actuarial results for the Agency's annual Actuarial Report
- Provide actuarial guidance on waivers, payment models, and managed care programs
- GS-13 federal role in CMS Office of the Actuary (Medicare & Medicaid Cost Estimates Group)
- Position requires U.S. citizen status and specific educational transcripts

- Developing project plans or coordinating project tasks and deliverables
- Analyzing, interpreting, and communicating actuarial data and information
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- U.S. Citizen or National required
- Associateship in SOA or CAS or Enrolled Actuary required
- Bachelor's degree with required actuarial/math coursework and transcripts
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12
- Experience providing actuarial guidance on cost estimates, payment models, or managed care
