This role will be supporting the collaboration with our parent company on emerging risk and capital metrics. In addition to regular capital reporting requirements, you will be responsible for analyzing and helping implement the technical requirements of the Insurance Capital Standard (ICS) in a method tailored to the needs of The Standard, as well as developing a framework to use and interpret the results for business management. You’ll support the education of key stakeholders and technical implementation of systems and actuarial models. You’ll help with the implementation of our approach to ICS across all our actuarial departments.

Specific Responsibilities include providing support to:

  • The ongoing calculation, reporting, and explanation of risk capital.
  • The process improvement and theory behind capital calculations.
  • Help coordinate capital methodology with emerging industry and enterprise standards.
  • Develop a risk-based return framework.
  • Implement our approach to economic value theory and practice.

Qualifications:

  • ASA/FSA preferred. We seek an Actuarial Associate or Actuary.
  • AXIS skills strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and providing critical thought.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills.

The Standard’s package also includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

Salary Range:

$102,250.00 - $150,000.00
