Senior health actuary role in reserving and forecasting based in Eagan, MN. You will own IBNR reserving and loss forecasting, develop predictive models, and support actuarial decision-making. The role requires an ASA, 5+ years of reserving experience, and strong skills in Python, R, SQL, SAS and Power BI. Hybrid position with two days per week in-office.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead IBNR reserving and forecasting work for healthcare claim liabilities
- Develop and enhance predictive models to inform reserving decisions
- Work with SQL, R, SAS and advanced Python (2+ years) for model development
- Create executive-ready reporting and dashboards using Power BI
- Hybrid role — typically 2 days per week in the Eagan, MN office
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- IBNR reserving experience
- Healthcare claims data analysis
- Advanced Python development (2+ years)
- Data retrieval using SQL, R, SAS
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience
- ASA designation or above required
- Healthcare claims and IBNR reserving experience
- Proficiency in SQL, R, SAS and advanced Python (2+ years)
- Experience creating reporting/visualizations in Power BI
