JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Pricing and reserving for specialty excess & surplus lines
- Build and test rating algorithms and actuarial tools
- Maintain loss and expense development triangles and conduct studies
- Support Schedule P and year-end loss reserve opinion
- Based in Jersey City, NJ; ability to travel as needed
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Property/casualty rate-making and reserving
- Preparation of Schedule P and statutory reserve support
- Creation and analysis of loss and expense development triangles
- Conducting loss ratio and claims trend studies
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of property/casualty industry experience with rate-making and reserving
- Minimum of five actuarial exams passed
- Hands-on proficiency in Excel, VBA, R, Python, SQL, SAS, or MATLAB
- Experience preparing loss development triangles and loss ratio studies
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
