JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Analyze Medicare and Medicaid experience and prepare future-cost estimates
- Provide actuarial review and develop capitation rates and payment arrangements
- Produce estimates for legislative and regulatory changes and payment pilots
- Federal GS-11/GS-12 role in Woodlawn, MD (regular reporting to office)
- Requires transcripts and U.S. citizenship
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial analysis of healthcare program experience and projections
- Actuarial review of capitation rates and payment arrangements
- Estimating costs for proposed legislative and regulatory changes
- Projections for testing and evaluating new payment models
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- U.S. Citizen or National required
- Transcripts required to verify education/experience substitutions
- GS-11: education/experience OR PhD pathway OR 3 SOA/CAS exams + 1yr experience
- GS-12: 1yr GS-11-level actuarial experience OR 4 SOA/CAS exams + 1yr experience
