This is a hybrid role. Employee is permitted to telecommute from a home office within normal commuting distance to the Milliman, Inc. office at 1301 Fifth Ave., Suite 3800, Seattle, WA 98101.

JOB DUTIES: Completes actuarial analysis assignments for client projects with a focus on delivering high quality analysis and outputs within the proposed deadline. Participates in business development activities, under the direction of a Principal or Consultant, to increase revenue for the practice through new and existing clients. Participates in actuarial research and development projects to establish the Practice as a thought leader in the industry. Completes all assignments needed to maintain the administrative work associated with running a successful practice.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative STEM field
  • 5 years of experience as an actuary or similar position
  • Designation as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
  • Experience in each of the following:
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • R, Python, and SAS programming languages
    • Actuarial projection software, such as GGY-AXIS, MG-ALFA, PROPHET, or MOSES
    • Asset Liability Modeling
    • Cash Flow testing


Requirements may have been satisfied concurrently.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time position. Annual salary range for this role is $147,805-$197,700.
