Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Senior retirement actuary role at Alerus, a national retirement provider. You will design and communicate technical ERISA aspects of Cash Balance, Defined Benefit, and Defined Contribution plans, produce new business proposals, and manage a book of existing and newly implemented clients. Requires 10+ years of complex DC plan administration experience and enrollment as an actuary by the Joint Board.

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Complex defined contribution plan administration
ERISA compliance testing (IRC 415, 410, 401(a)(4), etc.)
Non-qualified plans and cross testing allocations

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Enrolled Actuary approved by the Joint Board (Active Status)
10+ years of complex DC plan administration experience
Member of AAA, SOA, and/or ASPPA, with MSEA certification or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
