Role Summary

Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a live-business pricing partner than a modelling-heavy IC because the analysis supports placements, strategy, and business decisions.

Associate-level P&C actuarial role in Liberty Mutual’s Casualty Reinsurance Pricing Team in Chicago, Illinois. You’ll perform complex pricing analysis for casualty reinsurance placements across umbrella, professional liability, and multiline business, support strategy and financial planning, and mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience

Strongly preferred

  • ACAS/FCAS or comparable designation/education
  • Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques and business operations
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and train less experienced staff
  • Advanced computing skills with Excel and SAS

Nice to have

  • Masters degree
