Role type

Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing/underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because the analyses support live reinsurance placements and business decisions.

Senior P&C actuarial role in casualty reinsurance pricing, based in Boston, Massachusetts, with other key hubs available. You’ll perform complex analyses for Umbrella, Professional Liability, and multiline placements, support business strategy, build models, communicate recommendations, and mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements

Must have

  • 5-7 years relevant actuarial experience
  • ACAS or FCAS designation
  • Bachelor's degree

Strongly preferred

  • Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques and standards
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and train less experienced staff
  • Advanced computing skills (MS Office Excel, SAS, etc.)

Nice to have

  • Master's degree preferred
