Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Senior life actuarial role within Nationwide Financial’s Corporate Development team in Columbus, OH (remote candidates considered). You’ll evaluate M&A and block reinsurance transactions, build valuation and ALM models, assess transaction economics and capital impacts, and present recommendations to senior leadership.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Evaluate M&A and block reinsurance transactions for Nationwide Financial
Build and maintain valuation, ALM and transaction financial models
Prepare deal materials and present recommendations to executive committees
Work cross-functionally with LOB, Finance, Legal, Investment, Tax and Risk
Based in Columbus, OH (applications from remote US candidates may be considered)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Actuarial experience in insurance or reinsurance
Financial reporting under US GAAP, US Statutory, US Tax, Bermuda EBS
Advanced Excel/VBA and database application experience

KEY REQUIREMENTS

FSA designation required
6+ years of actuarial experience in insurance or reinsurance
Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, US Statutory, US Tax, and Bermuda EBS
Advanced Excel/VBA and database application skills
Must be eligible to work in the US; role does not qualify for employer sponsorship
