Senior life (individual annuities) pricing role on The Standard’s Individual Annuities team based in Portland, OR (remote eligible). You’ll own pricing and profitability analysis, support product development and ALM strategy, and help execute flow reinsurance and related implementations. The role requires an ASA, strong modeling skills, and advanced Excel; AXIS experience is preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Price individual annuity products and recommend new money and renewal rates
- Analyze product profitability and cohort-level asset allocation
- Support flow reinsurance execution and cross-functional implementation
- Maintain and improve AXIS pricing models; advanced Excel required
- Remote role with high visibility to executives and sales/finance teams
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Annuities experience
- Pricing and modeling experience
- Advanced Excel skills
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ASA (Associate of the SOA) required
- Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience with annuities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced to expert Excel skills required
- Prior actuarial modeling experience required
