Closer to a reserving and reporting-cycle role than a modelling-heavy internship—the work follows annual reconciliation, financial reporting, and board deadlines.
Actuary Intern role supporting a public pension plan in Albany, Oregon. You’ll contribute to annual data reconciliation, financial reporting, statutory annuity calculations, and board materials while working with auditors and accountants. The temporary role is hybrid and pays $24 per hour.
Requirements
Must have
- Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's or master's degree program in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science
- At least one semester remaining to complete all degree requirements following the internship
- Hold unrestricted work authorization (no visa sponsorship available)
Strongly preferred
- Passed at least 1 actuarial exam
- Experience using Microsoft Office products including Access, Excel and Word
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
