Actuarial internship in Pittsburgh supporting UPMC’s Health Insurance and Workers Compensation businesses. Interns will analyze financial performance, support pricing and filings, help develop models, and lead a line-of-business project while working with actuaries and leadership. The role is hybrid from the Downtown Pittsburgh office and pays $25 per hour, adjusted for exams passed.

Requirements

Must have

  • Act 34 clearance

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science or related STEM degree with at least one actuarial exam passed
  • Pursuing associateship or fellowship from SOA or CAS
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Lead a project pertinent to line of business

Nice to have

  • Some experience with SQL, R and/or SAS
