HIGHLIGHTS

Senior health actuary role at a nonprofit health plan in Minnetonka, MN (also open to Madison, WI). You will lead advanced pricing analysis, build and maintain actuarial models, produce forecasts and monitoring reports, and provide technical guidance across Product, Finance, and Network teams. Requires FSA and significant experience in statistical programming and large datasets.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead advanced pricing analysis and develop actuarial models for health products
  • Build forecasts and monitoring reports to assess pricing adequacy and trends
  • Use statistical programming (SQL, SAS, R, Python) with large, complex datasets
  • Serve as subject-matter expert and mentor junior analysts
  • Hybrid role – office-based about 3 days per week (Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Actuarial modeling and forecasting in health insurance
  • Pricing and rate-level functions for health products
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, R, or Python and large datasets

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience post-degree
  • FSA designation achieved (required)
  • Proficiency with SQL, SAS, R, or Python and large datasets
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
