Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Senior life-focused reinsurance actuarial role supporting Aflac Re Bermuda from Columbus, GA (hybrid). You will build and maintain ALM, reserving, capital and embedded value models, perform stress testing and model validation, and communicate results to senior management. The role requires an FSA (5+ years) or ASA (8+ years) and strong coding skills (Excel/SQL/Prophet/AXIS/MG-Alfa).

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Senior actuarial modeler for Aflac Re Bermuda (pricing, reserving, ALM, capital).
Build, validate, and maintain models using Excel, SQL, MG-Alfa, Prophet, AXIS.
Lead model validation, documentation and regulatory-ready audit materials.
Hybrid role – at least 60% onsite in Columbus, GA; remainder remote within US.
FSA (5+ yrs) or ASA (8+ yrs) required; strong governance and capital modelling.

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

ALM and capital modelling experience
Economic capital modelling and stress testing
Cash flow testing for solvency and financial condition assessments
Experience with Bermuda/market-consistent reserving frameworks
Model governance and independent model validation frameworks

KEY REQUIREMENTS

FSA (SOA) with 5+ years OR ASA (SOA) with 8+ years of actuarial experience
Hands-on ALM and economic capital modelling experience
Experience with Bermuda/market-consistent reserve and capital frameworks
Proficient coding in Excel and SQL and familiarity with Prophet/AXIS/MG-Alfa
Ability to lead model validation and implement model governance
