Senior health actuarial role supporting pricing, reserving, and predictive modeling for health plan and PBM-related financial risks. You will evaluate provider networks, risk adjustment, exchanges, and PBM contracts while building models and partnering with business leaders in Des Moines, IA (hybrid).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support pricing, reserving, and predictive modeling for health plan and PBM risks
- Evaluate risk adjustment, provider networks, exchanges, and PBM financial guarantees
- Develop predictive models and turn data into actionable insights
- Hybrid role with preference for Central Iowa and monthly travel to Des Moines HQ
- ASA required with 4+ years in health insurance actuarial roles
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Health insurance actuarial experience
- Pricing experience
- Reserving experience
- Predictive modeling experience
- Data analysis with Excel/SAS/SQL
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4 years of actuarial experience in health insurance
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) required
- Expertise in two or more: pricing, reserving, or predictive modeling
- Proficiency with data analysis using Excel, SAS or SQL
- Ability to manage projects independently and present to non-technical audiences
