Closer to a reserving cycle role than a pricing-underwriting partnership role, with reserve adequacy and financial reporting as the anchor despite broad business interaction.
P&C portfolio reserving role with AXA XL in Exton, Pennsylvania, supporting varied commercial lines across the Americas Insurance Business Group. You’ll develop reserve indications and valuations, review performance, support planning and reporting, and provide business insight to finance, claims, underwriting, and global reporting teams.
Requirements
Must have
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Strongly preferred
- Commercial lines P&C insurance or reinsurance actuarial experience
- ACAS or FCAS actuarial accreditation
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, applied math, statistics, or related field
- Robust analytical and research skills with ability to lead and influence decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Strong time management and ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Outstanding Excel and Microsoft Office skills for data extraction, manipulation, reporting, documentation, and presentations
- Experience with reserving methods and tools for modeling and risk management data
- Programming proficiency in Python, R, or SQL
